« J’aime la rue et son ambiance. J’aime vivre en ville et je vais probablement y vivre toute ma vie » ainsi parle Anne Østerby, photographe amateur danoise. Ses photos de rue sont très géométriques. Elle joue avec élégance avec l’architecture de Copenhague qui est son terrain de prédilection, tout en intégrant des passants ça et là. « J’aime avoir des gens dans mes plans. Je les mets dans un environnement où ils se sentent à l’aise. »
La jeune femme de 36 ans qui travaille au ministère des finances danois, prend des instantanés puis parfois retourne sur les lieux pour les shooter sous un angle différent. Elle les édite avec soin et les poste sur EyeEm.
Anne est très influencée par Sophie Calle, dont elle a vu une exposition. « Son travail m’a vraiment inspiré. Elle prend des choses ordinaires et rend l’art vraiment intéressant.» Elle aime aussi beaucoup de photographe Danois Jan Grarup.
Pour la jeune femme, faire de la photo est une activité collective. « Je fais partie d’une grande communauté à Copenhague avec beaucoup de photographes de talent. Nous nous mettons au défi mais aussi nous pouvons passer des heure à discuter de la façon de shooter. Je leur dois beaucoup. »

Are you a photographer professional or not ? What’s your job ? How old are you ?
My work is very different from photography. I work for a Danish government ministry with finance. I’m 36 years old.
Where do you shoot ? In Copenhagen or others places ?
My shots are mostly from Copenhagen, but I love to travel. I have two small kids so I don’t travel much at the moment.
How do you work? Are your pics snapshots ?
Some of my shots are snapshots, but I often go back to a location a do a shot from a slightly different angle. I normally take 20-40 shots and the choose one or two to edit. I often shoot with friends and there are patient
What do you think about the street ? It’s for you the best « playing field » for a photographer ?
I love the street and the city vibe, I love living in the city and will probably live in a city my hole life. I like to have one a few people in my shots and put them in an environment where they feel comfortable
How long are you on EyeEm ? Why do you like it ?
I’ve been on eyeem for about two years. I like that you can post your shot just as you want to crop it. I like the way eyeem look and the fact that you can only have a few hashtag to you’re shot. When you have a question for the eyeem team they answer you pretty quick.
How much pics per day or per week, do you post on your wall ?
I post a couple of times or week, one of my New Years resolutions was to be more active on eyeem
What is your favorite photographers ? Did you visit photography exhibitions ?
What are your influences ?
The biggest influences for me has been the French photographer Sophie Calle, I saw an exhibition with her work and it really inspired me to start shooting again. She can take ordinary stuff and make it really interesting art. I do visit photography exhibitions, but with two small kids I don’t have much time, so I don’t go as much as I would like to. I also really like the Danish photographer Jan Grarup.
I’m part of a big community in Copenhagen with lots of talented photographers and they challenge me all the time, we often go on photo walks but we can also spend hour discussing how to edit a shot. I think I owe a lot to them.
